Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but quality should never be a compromise and neither should your confidence and attitude......
Select from an always changing collection or have me use my superpowers as a jewelry designer to create a new piece of jewelry just for you.
WWJ is a one-woman jewelry design business, owned and operated by Angie Simonsen of Bellevue Ne.
She has lived in NE all her life, and in Bellevue for the last 20.
Angie started creating jewelry with wire after discovering the wonderful properties of floral wire while creating Christmas gifts and has now been creating handmade jewelry, custom jewelry orders and functional metal objects for 15+ years.
She is a self-taught artist in many mediums, and an Instructor at Omaha South High School, teaching their increasingly popular Metalsmithing class to 10-12 grade students. Omaha South is a performing and visual arts magnet school, and the only high school in NE to offer such a class and unique opportunity to our upcoming generation.
Angie believes in using your talents to better society in whatever way possible. She has participated in the Visiting Nurses Association’s (VNA) Homeless Shelter Nursing Fundraiser for more than a decade, donating 50% of her sales to this cause. She also donates jewelry items and custom order opportunities to other charities and fundraisers on a regular basis.
Materials used include the following – sterling and fine silver, gold and gold-filled metals, copper, brass, bronze, and soon metal clay. Many pieces include gemstones ranging from AAA+ grade to rough and raw.
Angie loves using stamps and other tools and techniques to create texture and impart words of wisdom and attitude.
During the school year, shows are limited mostly to the Holiday season.
During the summer, travel includes several art shows throughout NE and surrounding communities
She is always looking for a unique venue, material, and technique to try.
